Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Tomar [M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D. (FRSB, FCBEES, FICER, FSLSc)] has recently joined IES University, Bhopal as Vice-Chancellor. Prior to this, he was Director, Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Dean (Life Sciences) & Dean (Academics), Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior. He has been Founding Campus Head/Vice-Chancellor of Amity Gwalior Campus. Prof. Tomar has more than 30 years of Teaching, Research and Administrative experience in higher education in varied disciplines of science including Life Sciences. Prof. Tomar is actively engaged in teaching, research, and innovation. His research interests include Nanobiotechnology, Microbiology, Herbal Medicine, Cancer Biology, Animal Biotechnology and Environmental Biotechnology. He has to his credit more than 140 research papers published in various National and International Journals of repute. He has filed 22 Patents of which 14 have been published in the Patent Journal of India. One patent has been granted in January 2022. Professor Tomar has published 05 books and has authorship of several book chapters published by national and international publishers. His recent book entitled “Nanobiotechnology: Concepts and Application in Health, Agriculture and Environment” has been published by Apple Academic Press (CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group), Florida, USA. He has delivered keynote lectures in more than 50 National and International Seminars, Symposia, Conferences and Workshops. He is member of various National and International Scientific bodies and Reviewer and Editor of National & International Journals. Recently, he has been elected as fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, London.
